On January 22, 2025, the Econox Lao team had the opportunity to participate in the “Climate Exchange” organized by Swisscontact Lao PDR, took place at the Crowne Plaza Vientiane Hotel.

Participating in this event was a significant opportunity for our team, especially the co-founder of Econox Lao, to exchange ideas under the theme: “Participatory Problem-Solving to Reduce Single-Use Plastics in Public Spaces.” During the discussion, we shared insights, strategies, and practical methods for addressing the issue of single-use plastics, with a particular emphasis on the private sector's role in driving the transformation toward more environmentally friendly business practices.

The Climate Exchange event aimed to encourage young people to actively participate in initiatives promoting sustainable consumption and production as part of efforts to combat climate change. The event specifically focused on the issue of single-use plastics and fostering environmental awareness. The event was attended by more than 60 participants, representing government agencies, mass organizations, educational institutions, the private sector, and the media.
